THE 2026 EASTERN CUP
THE EASTERN CUP is one of the most prestigious golf fundraising events in the region, hosted at the oldest private country club in the United States - The Philadelphia Cricket Club. Founded in 1854, the Philadelphia Cricket Club is the only club in the country to have established a golf course in each of the past three centuries. Two of the club’s award winning courses, Wissahickon and Militia Hill, are recognized for their outstanding layouts and course conditions, and host to the Truist Championship in May of 2025. Participants of this year's Eastern Cup have the opportunity to play on these esteemed courses, the same courses as the top 70 best golfers in the world.
The renowned Philadelphia Cricket Club is the only golf club in the country to have opened a golf course in each of the past three centuries. Participants of this year's Eastern Cup have the fortunate opportunity to play at two of these esteemed courses. Both the Wissahickon and Militia Hill courses have been recognized for their outstanding layouts and course conditions over the years.

2026 Guest Speaker: Billy Hurley III
About Billy Hurley III
A graduate from the United States Naval Academy in 2004, he served as a Naval officer from 2004-09. Was a lieutenant aboard a U.S. Navy destroyer from 2007-09, serving in the Persian Gulf to protect Iraqi oil platforms. Also spent time on the Red Sea and the South China Sea. Served on the USS Chung-Hoon, a 10,000-ton guided-missile destroyer. Also worked on a cruiser in Jacksonville, Florida, and a destroyer in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii during his five-year obligation.

Billy played in numerous PGA events, finishing 5th at the Honda Classic, tied for 4th at the Greenbrier Classic, and qualifying for his first U.S. Open & Open Championship. He struggled during the 2015 season, ultimately losing his PGA Tour card. But he rebounded quickly in 2016 with a win at Quicken Loans National, a Tiger Woods-hosted tribute to military personnel. With that, Billy qualified for his first PGA and Masters Championships.
As of today, Billy is the only U.S. Military Service Academy veteran who has won on the PGA TOUR.

Billy lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with his wife Heather and their three children Will, Jacob & Madison. The Hurleys are involved with various charitable organizations, especially those focused on supporting military personnel & their families and those committed to improving the lives of children & young adults.
